NEW YORK (APRIL 15, 2024) – Optimum, the provider of advanced internet, mobile, TV, and phone services, today announces its continued partnership with national organization Boys & Girls Clubs of America, providing financial support across Optimum’s 21-state footprint along with resources such as high-speed internet services and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning opportunities to contribute to support innovation and growth of students throughout Optimum’s local communities.

With this commitment, the company’s to-date contribution towards the organization has grown to $1.25 million in financial support since the partnership was first announced in 2020. This marks the fifth consecutive year of the company’s investment in Boys & Girls Clubs of America, empowering this next generation of leaders by promoting experiences and opportunities across Optimum’s communities, strengthening digital literacy skills, and supporting their confidence and ability to work as a team.

As part of Optimum’s recently launched brand platform “Where local is big time,” the company continues to find new ways to deepen its community presence across its 21-state footprint. Optimum’s partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs is a concrete example of this very commitment to meet the unique needs of its local customers and communities, furthering the company’s mission to become the connectivity provider of choice in every community it serves.

"Optimum is proud to continue our partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs, which shares our commitment to creating positive change, empowering children in the communities we serve, and inspiring the next generation of innovators to realize their full potential," said Jen Ostrager, Senior Vice President of Community Affairs at Optimum. "Through this partnership, Optimum has been able to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s mission to provide young people with a safe, supportive place to learn and grow and help contribute to their overall success.”

In addition to Optimum’s annual contribution to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the company also engages with local Clubs to support initiatives such as Youth of the Year and Summer Camp sponsorships, device donations, and the development of several STEM and Technology Centers that provide more opportunities for students to develop digital literacy and technology skills.

“Boys & Girls Clubs of America is grateful for our partnership with Optimum, which is greatly supporting academic success and skills development for young people in our Clubs,” said Jim Clark, president and CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of America. "With Optimum's support, our youth have access to critical resources, impactful programs and experiences that will benefit them well beyond their time at the Club.”

To celebrate the local Boys & Girls Clubs that will be receiving funding from Optimum, the company will be hosting recognition events across its footprint in the coming weeks and inviting elected officials and key community members to join the celebrations.
