Commitment to our Communities

Altice USA is committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve and connecting our customers to what matters most. This includes expanding access to high-quality internet for those who need it, inspiring the next generation of innovators through programs focused on STEM and education, and supporting, understanding and celebrating what makes each of our local communities unique.

Our community engagement focuses on the following key areas:

Digital Equity: Commitment to broadband adoption and digital literacy

We are proud to offer free and low-cost broadband options for qualified low-income households.

Altice USA participates in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), offering free 300 Mbps of wired home connectivity with the ACP credit.  Alternatively, households can apply the ACP credit of up to $30 (or up to $75 for households on qualifying Tribal Lands) to any Optimum or Suddenlink broadband plan.

Since the company’s formation in 2016, Altice USA has offered a low-cost broadband option to certain groups.  This program, currently called Optimum Advantage Internet, is offered to eligible low-income students, seniors, and most recently Veterans, at a price of $14.99/month.

Inspiring the next Generation of Innovators: Commitment to Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) and Education

Altice USA supports STEM and education at both the national and local level.

Altice USA has been a long-time supporter of FIRST Robotics, fostering STEM skill development by sponsoring high school teams and regional competitions throughout our service area.  Our annual Optimum Innovator Awards recognizes the teams for their innovation and efforts in the areas of inclusion, excellence in technology, community engagement, inspiration, and social media.

Altice USA is also a supporter of DonorsChoose, funding thousands of classroom projects organized by public school teachers in hundreds of communities that will enable access to tools, technology, and experiences that support student success.

Support for Small Business:  Supporting growth in a digital economy

As part of our ongoing commitment, Altice USA supports small businesses by providing ad credits and grants through our partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Save Small Business and the Coalition to Back Black Business grant programs.
