Altice USA and Optimum Announce Additional $1 Million Commitment to Fund Thousands of Classroom Projects Across the Country

Altice USA / Optimum partners with DonorsChoose for third year to support public school teachers, classrooms, and students across 21-state footprint

New York (December 2, 2022) – Today Altice USA (NYSE: ATUS) and Optimum announce an additional commitment of $1 million through its partnership with national education nonprofit DonorsChoose to distribute funds to classroom projects in local schools across Optimum’s 21-state footprint throughout the 2022-2023 school year. With this announcement, the company’s to-date commitment and contribution towards DonorsChoose classroom projects jumps to $2.8 million since the partnership was first announced in 2020.

This marks the third consecutive year that Altice USA is partnering with DonorsChoose to fund projects in local classrooms to bring much needed educational tools, technologies, and resources to public school teachers and students in communities across Optimum’s service area. To date, the company has funded more than 6,000 projects in over 4,000 schools across the country with a focus on STEM-based projects, furthering Altice USA’s mission to support and empower the next generation of innovators and creators.

Employees of Altice USA will also play a part in distributing the funds across DonorsChoose projects during the holiday season through the end of the year.
