Optimum Strengthens its Investment in Kentucky with Network Upgrade, Bringing Faster Speeds to the Pikeville Community and Across Pike County

KENTUCKY (OCTOBER 23, 2023) – Optimum, the local provider of internet, mobile and TV services, today announces that it has launched faster internet speeds of up to 500 Mbps in Pikeville and parts of surrounding Pike County, including: Elkhorn City, Shelbiana, Ashcamp, Mouthcard, Regina, Belcher, Millard, Greasy Creek, Rock House, Lick Creek, and parts of Shelby Gap, Kentucky.
Now, local residents and businesses in these areas can access speeds that are more than three times faster than the previous fastest speed offered by the company. Optimum’s Investment in Pikeville
In addition to bringing faster and more reliable internet speeds to Pikeville and Pike County, Optimum has partnered with national education nonprofit DonorsChoose for a third year in a row to fund thousands of classroom projects across Optimum’s 21-state footprint. As part of this partnership, Optimum recently donated $6,000 to the Millard School in Pikeville, and with the school year now in full swing, the projects funded by this donation will enable access to essential tools, technologies, and experiences that support student education growth and success.
