Disability Equality Index recognizes Altice USA as a ‘Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion’

Altice USA has been named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion with the Disability Equality Index (DEI). The DEI is a joint initiative between Disability:IN and the American Association for People with Disabilities (AAPD). It is a comprehensive benchmarking tool that gives U.S. businesses an objective assessment of their disability inclusion policies and practices.

At Altice USA, accessibility and opportunity for individuals with disabilities – both in our workplace and for our customers - is key to who we are as a company, and what we strive to be.

As a company, we prioritize efforts to recruit and hire qualified individuals with disabilities, and ensure equal access to all work spaces that are home to Altice USA’s employees, and company materials used by employees, so they do not face unnecessary accessibility barriers.

In our recruiting efforts, Altice USA has partnered with Getting Hired, a leader in disability employment, to help us connect with a larger pool of candidates who identify as having a disability. The organization is also providing guidance on how we can bolster our internal structure to hire and retain people with disabilities. Since partnering with Getting Hired, Altice USA has hosted employee training sessions on disability etiquette and trained recruiters and hiring managers on best practices for recruiting people with disabilities, as well as how to use the Getting Hired platform to reach more candidates.

We are also proud to have Altice Access as one of our eight employee affinity groups. This is a group dedicated to increasing awareness towards employees and customers with accessibility needs.

The company often consults Altice Access, to provide feedback and share ideas on how the company can make our workspaces, retail stores, and products more inclusive. The group’s feedback has influenced operational and cultural changes across the company. Through consultation, Altice Access is helping our retail design team keep accessibility at the forefront of our retail and experience store design process, as well as products and services.

As a company, we chose to participate in the DEI this year to ensure we continue to hold ourselves accountable to offer the most inclusive and supportive culture and practices as an employer and service provider.

We are proud of this recognition, but the work does not stop here, and we will continue to work towards an inclusive and equitable environment for our employees and customers. Inclusivity fosters innovation and we look forward to continuing to hold ourselves to the highest standard and always foster support for disability inclusion for our customers and employees.
