Unique Users to News 12 New York Also Increased Year-Over-Year
Long Island, New York (January 16, 2024) – Today, News 12 announces increased local ratings from original programming and key coverage of local weather across the tri-state area.
With the launch of a new season of “The East End” on News 12 with hosts Erin Colton and Joe Arena, the premiere on January 6 saw a 127% increase in viewership across News 12 networks during that time slot versus the prior six weeks. The show, which explores the popular Long Island region where foodies, families and outdoor enthusiasts can all find the perfect nearby getaway, is a News 12 exclusive that embodies the phrase “where local meets luxury.” On its next episode, Erin and Joe take viewers along to go horseback riding at Grey Horse Farms in Bridgehampton and oyster mining at Bennett Shellfish in Montauk. “The East End” airs on News 12 every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30am ET.
This past week, News 12 was also on the ground, providing minute-by-minute coverage of the inclement weather and flooding that took place across the tri-state area. News 12 saw an increased viewership of 40% throughout its reporting, underscoring the community's trust in News 12 as the go-to, hyperlocal news network to receive the latest weather updates.
Additionally, News 12 New York, News 12’s OTT service that covers news across New York, New Jersey, and CT, and features hit original docuseries’ “Crime Files” and “Revealed,” continues to grow, with an increase of unique users by 150% year-over-year.
