News 12 to Air Exclusive Final Debate for NY-3 Special Election

Town Hall Debate Will Air on News 12 Long Island on February 8th at 8:30pm 

Long Island, New York (January 25, 2024) - News 12 Long Island today announced an exclusive town hall debate for the upcoming special election in New York’s 3rd Congressional District. The hour-long program will air on News 12 Long Island on February 8th at 8:30pm ET. 

This special program will be the last chance for voters to hear directly from the candidates before voting begins on February 13th and will feature questions from audience members and pre-submitted questions from News 12 viewers. Candidates, Republican Mazi Pilip and Democrat Tom Souzzi, will field questions from local voters on the issues that matter most to Long Island residents and provide their vision for the future of New York’s 3rd Congressional District. 

News 12’s Rich Barrabi, Host of “Power & Politics” and co-anchor of “Mornings on News 12” in Long Island, will moderate the debate providing his expert political knowledge and local insight. Viewers can submit questions for Mazi and Souzzi prior to the debate here

The debate will air on News 12, channel 12 on select local cable TV lineups, as well as on the News 12 app on Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV. It will also be available live and replayed on News 12’s regional OTT channel, News 12 New York.
